Annette’s son
I am the product of a Dutch mother who was an artist and a German/Brazilian father, who was a businessman.
I am an artist who, for his sins,
understands business.
But in reality, I am Annette’s son. Sorry Dad.
My mom, Annette, was a pioneering female Art Director in the male-dominated Dutch advertising scene.
I grew up in a vibrant mix of cultures,
spending my childhood in the Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, and other parts of the world. Surrounded by art and creative thinkers, my experiences have shaped my appreciation for beauty and innovation.
I got my work ethic and discipline from playing basketball. (I’m 6’9”).
I was once praised by Francis and Sofia Coppola for my bravery. (How’s that for name-dropping?).
Over the last 15 years, I have worked in the Netherlands, Portugal, Berlin, Kuwait, Brazil, Belize, London, Boulder, Colorado, Los Angeles, and Miami.
I have won awards at all the major shows, including six one-show pencils, Cannes...
But all I ever want is to make my mother proud.
I am Annette’s son.
