AMERICAN AIRLINES

We wanted to associate American Airline’s new livery design with a more carefree and pleasant time in travel. Instead of showing the usual shots of planes flying or destinations available.
We showed the new tail design flying effortlessly above beautiful destinations. In a sense, alluding to a more galamorous time for air travel.

We then thought about what summed up this golden age of air travel, to us it was the scarves that attendents wore in the 50s and 60s.

So, partnering with Hermes we decided to create range of limited edition collectible scarves to represent specific destinations and that could be bought only if you took an American Airline’s flight to that place. Though based on the logo, each scarf would reflect some influence of the destination.

The CEO of American Airlines,
said that he’d been trying to do something with scarves for years but no one had “got it” before us.
And we weren’t going to argue with the CEO.
